Loukas Thomas

Major Thomas Loukas was born and raised in Athens. He graduated from military medical school in 2001 as Second Lieutenant. During his military career he has served in units of special forces and he has attended successfully all the military Schools for his rank. He completed his specialization in internal medicine in Thriassio Hospital of Elefsis. Since 2010 he is assigned in Limnos serving as commander of the 88 Medical Battalion.

He holds a PhD degree from the Athens Medical School.

He has also followed successfully the postgraduate program of "Educational Leadership and Policy" of Open University of Cyprus.
Furthermore, he is a graduate of the department of ?Health and Social Welfare Management? of Technological institute of Athens. He is interested in education of Cardiopulmonary rescucitation directing BLS courses.

He has participated in several conferences and his publications include articles in journals and in edited volumes. He is scientific associate of the University Clinic of Intensive Care of Athens. He is also e-learning program coordinator of the Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He speaks English and German.
